YEKATERINBURG. Over the past four years, since 2011, the youth theater team of Yekaterinburg has worked without a chief director. Before the start of the new season, the theater still received a new leader - Ilya Rotenberg. In the Youth Theater, at the troupe meeting, held on August 17, before the start of the theater year, Ilya Rotenberg officially met with the creative team. With his work, the director subdued the heads of the Youth Theater so much that after the seminar Ilya Rotenberg was offered to take the vacancy of the main director. This performance will be Rotenberg’s debut on the stage of the Yekaterinburg Youth Theater. The premiere is already included in the repertoire of the Youth Theater. It will be shown to the public on October 1st.

Although the age of the new head of the Youth Theater is hardly solid (he is a native of Yekaterinburg, born in 1980), Ilya Rotenberg’s creative baggage is impressive. After graduating from the directing department of GITIS in 2011, the young director held his first season as chief director in the drama theater of Lysva.

The most successful work of the director in Lysva was the play "Players". At the festival of small Russian cities, he earned the Grand Prix and the right to show on the stage of the Theater of Nations.
