The screening of the program "Talking Cinema" Media Forum MIFF Automatic translate
MOSCOW. From June 23 to July 14, screenings of paintings as part of the parallel program of the 16th Media Forum of the Moscow International Film Festival will be held at the Museon Summer Cinema venue.
The Talking Cinema program, curated by film critic Alexei Artamonov, includes several outstanding films of contemporary avant-garde cinema, in which film authors experiment with the perception of voice-over text.
So, within the framework of the program films-essays “Stamp Pass” directed by James Benning (2012), “Unreleased shots from the life of a happy person” by Jonas Mekas (2012), “Inacha, Mollusia” by Nicolas Ray (2012), “Land of the Barbarians” will be presented "Angela Ricci Lucia and Yervan Janikyan (2013)," Paradise "Alain Cavallier (2014).
The directors of these films work differently with the tactics of the so-called "talking movie": their poem films, diary films and recognition films took part in various programs of the most prestigious world film festivals - the Berlinale, festivals in Toronto, Turin, Vienna, Rotterdam and Locarno. The technique for creating these paintings goes beyond both the festival mainstream art and traditional feature films, so the work is almost unknown to the general public.
Screenings of films within the framework of the “Talking Cinema” program of the MIFF Media Forum are designed to provide talented directors with a place about the public space and acquaint the Moscow audience with their work.
