MOSCOW. On June 20 at the Cinema House will open the special project "Russian Programs" at the 37th Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF). The opening film will be the film “Country of OZ” directed by Vasily Sigarev.
Earlier, the beginning of a special project with the screening of the film "Angels of Revolution" by Alexei Fedorchenko was announced, but for some unknown reason, the organizers replaced the picture. “It is still unknown whether the film, in which there are a lot of obscene language, will go in the author’s version or will they show an edited version of the tape prepared by the director for wide distribution,” the organizers explain.
More recently, the film "Country of OZ" took part in the competition of the Kinotavr festival in Sochi, from where it brought a prize for the best script. The main character of the film Lena on New Year’s Eve comes to the big city to arrange her personal life.
