SOCHI. At the festival "Kinotavr", which takes place in Sochi from June 7 to 14, the winner of the short films competition was announced. They became the picture "Nastya" directed by Cyril Pletnev. “I express my deep gratitude to my actors, my cameraman, with whom I want to shoot a full meter. Inside, I believed that this would happen, ”said Pletnev, receiving the award.
The plot of the short film "Nastya" is based on the real story of the postman from Nizhny Novgorod, Nastya Cherepanova (the role was played by Maria Shulga), who stole pensions several years ago and, together with her lover, fled in search of a better life.
A special diploma of the jury was awarded the picture "Kira" directed by Vladlena Sandu. The prize was presented by Ivan Tverdovsky with the words "for the author’s high thought, which I personally will never forget." The jury’s special prize “For Style and Love for the Genre” was awarded the film “Car Thief”. The award to the director of the work Maxim Kulagin was presented by actress Agnia Kuznetsova. From the hands of film critic Ivan Kudryavtsev, Maria Guskova received a special award for her film “The Return of Erkin”.
The prize of the Guild of Film Critics and Film Critics of Russia received the painting "Portfolio" directed by Nikita Tamarov. A special mention with the wording “for an ironic and compassionate look at the male community lost in the desert of reality” from the chairman of the jury Elena Stishova was marked by the tape “Masons” Daria Vlasova.
Also, as part of the short awards ceremony, awards were presented to the winners of pitching debutants. The awards and additional funding received the full-length projects of Cyril Pletnev and Vladlena Sandu.
In total, 22 works, selected from more than 400 paintings sent for selection, took part in the Kinotavra-2015 short meter competition. The jury of the short films competition this year included film critic Ivan Kudryavtsev, actress Agniya Kuznetsova, producer Igor Tolstunov and director Ivan Tverdovsky.
