YEKATERINBURG. The ten-day marathon of the Bravo Theater Festival was launched on May 14th. On the first day of the festival, viewers had to choose between the performances "Profitable Place", shown at the Drama Theater, and "Henri", presented by the Musical Comedy Theater. During the festival, theatergoers of Yekaterinburg will see 21 performances. Such a number of theatrical premieres staged in the theaters of the Sverdlovsk region in 2014 was selected by the jury for showing in the festival program.
To create the final poster, the Bravo! Festival experts had to watch 115 performances that appeared in the repertoire of theaters of Yekaterinburg and other cities of the region over the past year. The Sverdlovsk Drama Theater became the leader among theatrical groups whose work was featured on the festival poster. Critics who took part in the selection of performances for the festival found three theater works of the Sverdlovsk drama worthy at once.
Spectators have already managed to see “Profitable Place” - with this production the Bravo! Festival was opened. Later, theatergoers will get acquainted with the dance performance "InTIME-2" and another theater work - "Platonov. Two stories. " Sverdlovsk Musical Comedy is presented in the competition poster by two performances. One of them, telling about the fate of the famous artist of his time, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, the audience saw on the first day of the festival, and on May 21 will be shown another work of Musical Comedy - the eccentric ballet "Grammar of one movement."
The Opera House and the Youth Theater also present two performances at the festival. The rest of the theaters of Yekaterinburg will show one of their work. Theaters from four cities of the region will bring their works to the festival. These are Serov, Novouralsk, Kamensk-Uralsky and Nizhny Tagil. The winners will be called in the Youth Theater, on the closing day - May 25th.
