At the Puppet Theater of Vladimir, they showed the premiere of a performance dedicated to the feat of a Russian soldier Automatic translate
VLADIMIR. The regional puppet theater presented a performance staged by the main director Marina Protasova, who replaced Vladimir Miusdushevsky, who led the troupe for many years. The play, on which the performance “I Believe” was staged, was written by Marina Protasova herself. The basis of her play was the real tragic events of the first war in Chechnya. The audience saw the premiere on May 22nd.
Marina Protasova said that she had dreamed of staging this performance for a long time, from the time she met the story of Zhenya Rodionov, a Russian soldier who had been martyred by the Chechen separatists. For one hundred days he was tortured, refusing to change the Orthodox faith and join the ranks of the militants. Russian soldier Yevgeny Rodionov was executed in 1996 on May 23. He was 19 years old that day.
Initially, Marina Protasova planned to show the premiere of the performance on Victory Day, but the complexity of the work adjusted the time of the first show of the production to the public. Viewers saw the work on the eve of the hero’s birthday, which became the last day of his life.
This production is not only about the feat of the Russian soldier, but also about the courage of his mother, who became the main character of the play “I Believe”. To find her son, Lyubov Vasilievna Rodionova walked almost all the villages of Chechnya on foot. Almost two decades have passed since that terrible journey. Lyubov Vasilievna, as before, lives in a village near Podolsk. All these years, she has been assisting soldiers serving in remote units and hot spots.
Unfortunately, Lyubov Rodionovna was unable to attend the premiere of the performance “I Believe”, however, she firmly promised to come to Vladimir for one of the first shows of Marina Protasova’s work in the next theater season.
