The premiere of the play "Prince and the Pauper" took place on the Big Stage of the Saratov Youth Theater Automatic translate
SARATOV. The premiere performance "The Prince and the Pauper" was shown to the audience by the artists of the Saratov Youth Theater on the big stage of the theater on May 15th. The authors of the new theatrical production were director Elena Olenina and artist Alimova Marina. This creative duet, invited from Moscow, is already familiar to the Saratov theater-goers.
Recently, they staged the original play “I Am an Actress?!” on the Small Stage of the Youth Theater, where the works of Chekhov and Kuprin were used. Their new work was the stage version of the famous novel by Mark Twain, whose plot is familiar and loved by several generations of readers and spectators. It was the very first novel by an American writer, written by him in 1881.
Like Mark Twain’s subsequent prose, he was incredibly scenic, so theater directors and filmmakers often turned to him. Each of Mark Twain’s novels was repeatedly embodied in theaters and on cinema screens. The play "The Prince and the Pauper" was already in the repertoire of the Saratov Youth Theater more than half a century ago. In 1950, it was directed by the director V.I. Davydov. 65 years later, the famous novel, the staging of which was written by Anastasia Kolesnikova, was overwhelmed by the theater, was again presented to the Saratov audience.
The creative duet of directors in a new way embodied on the stage of the Youth Theater since childhood a story familiar to the audience, where, by the will of Mark Twain, two boys who were born in different areas of the same city met on the same day and year. Their roles were performed by young actresses Kristina Topcheva and Anastasia Beskrovnaya.
A beautiful fairy tale appeared in the theater’s repertoire, the dynamic action of which unfolds in colorful scenery, filled with sparkling satirical dialogues. This beautifully set story will be interesting for all viewers who came to the Youth Theater to see their favorite characters again
