The premiere of the play "My poor Marat" was held in the Voronezh Youth Theater Automatic translate
VORONEZH. On the small stage of the Youth Theater on April 16, director Alexander Sidorenko presented the audience with his new work - the play "My poor Marat." The play, based on which the play was staged, was written by the famous playwright Alexei Arbuzov many years ago, but modern directors turn to her today.
Alexander Sidorenko himself considers it important that in this play, where events begin during the blockade of Leningrad, the eternal questions of friendship, nobility and love are raised. Wartime is just the backdrop offered by the scenery. The director says that his work is intended for the younger generation - high school students and students.
It is possible that this performance will help them understand the characters of people whose views on life were formed during the war years. For the audience of the older generation, “My poor Marat” will become a nostalgic performance, where they can see what has long been lost in our lives.
The events of the performance begin in 1942, when the still very young heroes of the play remain three together in the Leningrad house, which became a shelter for them during the blockade. Their room becomes a place where complex relationships of young people are born, where friendship and love are tightly intertwined.
“Meetings” - this is how the director designated the genre of the performance. A voice behind the scene refers to the time when they took place. The next meeting of the characters of the play takes place already in 1946. The war is already over, but the young people failed to resolve their relationship. The next meeting took place only 13 years later, on the last day of 1959.
The heroes of the play matured, became wiser. Only now they had hopes for no change in their destinies. The final of the performance gives each of the heroes hope for happiness. And the audience the question arises - whether he could do everything to become happy.
