MOSCOW. From April 16 to April 24, the 22nd Open Festival of Student and Debut Films "Saint Anna" will be held in the capital of Russia. At the opening ceremony of the film forum, the audience will be presented with the premiere of the film "Territory" directed by Alexander Melnik.
This year 400 art, animation, documentary and short films take part in the competition program of the festival. The films will be evaluated by a jury led by film director Nikolai Dostal. This year’s jury also includes producer Sergei Selyanov, documentary director Arkady Kogan, actor Alexander Pal, screenwriter Nikolai Kulikov, cameraman Alisher Hamidkhodzhaev, animator Svetlana Filippova and film critic Alyona Solntseva.
To participate in the already traditional program of the Debut festival, the jury selected 5 films. These are the films “21 days” by Tamara Dondurey, “And there was a day…” by Margarita Shubina, “Verpaskungen” by Grigory Dobrygin, “Brothers” by Mikhail Ugarov and the film “Ask Me” by director Vera Kharybina.
This year, the organizers of St. Anne introduced a new special competitive program called “Movie Stars in Short Films”. In this category, nine films will appear on the court of spectators and the jury. These are the Living films directed by Yana Klimova-Yusupova, Winter Night People, Valery Polienko, Felix and His Love, Evgenia Korchagina, The Guys from Our Yard, Nina Pritula, Andrei Emelyanov, In the Seventh Heaven, Girl and the Thief Julia Dmitrieva, “Gallop-Apotheosis” of Nikolai Burlak, “Razor” by Alexei Belyakov and “Harlequiniade. By his own example ”directors Maxim Kupriyanov, Andrei Land and Vadim Demchog.
