The premiere of the play "The Fate of Man" was a huge success on the stage of the Ryazan Drama Theater Automatic translate
KNITTING. The premiere performance “The Fate of a Man”, shown on April 24 at the Ryazan Drama Theater, did not leave indifferent the audience sitting in the hall. In the final part of the play, tears appeared in the majority of the audience. Even the applause, which the audience thanked the artists for their excellent work, could not drain them.
At the same time, the cause of these tears was not the cruelty of the events taking place on the stage. In any performance about the war, there are always a lot of them - crying over every scene of violence is impossible. Tears were caused by the consciousness of a person’s weakness - the course of fate, which he could not change, did not depend on him.
The director Ursula Makarova worked on the creation of the play. Many journalists at the meeting with the director were interested in why this particular story of Sholokhov, which was repeatedly put on film and on stage, was chosen. Ursula Makarova explained that each new production makes it possible to show her attitude to the events that took place in the life of the hero of the story.
For Ursula Makarova, the choice of a work for the stage, as well as the theme of the performance, was not an accident. Since the play was staged on the eve of the anniversary of Victory Day, the director wanted to remind people of the story. This is especially important for the younger generation, already poorly aware of what this holiday means for our country. Another reason Ursula Makarova addresses this story is her love for Sholokhov’s work.
Ursula included in the staging scenes that are not in Sholokhov’s work. Ursula used fragments of Remark’s novel “The Spark of Life” to create them. The director with their help showed what a terrible price the Russian people paid for the victory. The atmosphere of the concentration camp was staged by the stage directors very realistically - dogs barking, floodlights and rude guard voices.
