In fact, the premiere of the first version of “Brothers and Sisters” took place back in 1978 at the stage of the Educational Theater of LGITMiK (now this educational institution is called the Theater Academy). It was a performance of graduates of the course, where the leaders were A. Katsman and L. Dodin. In preparation for the play, students, and then actors of the 1985 version, traveled to the homeland of Fedor Abramov, in the village of Verkola. During the expedition, they not only studied rural life - it was an introduction to the roots of the nation. Young artists who presented a new version of the play also visited this northern village.
