Short film festival Kinematic Shorts starts in Chelyabinsk Automatic translate

CHELYABINSK. Tomorrow, March 26, the opening of the Kinematic Shorts short film festival will be held at the local Salyut cinema. The works of bright young directors from France, Serbia, Great Britain, the USA and Cyprus this year were included in the festival program. Each film from this program in detail and with humor will tell the audience a story about life, death and love.

The most titled film of the Kinematic Shorts festival - “The Pocket Line”, created by the young director Oscar Sharp, a student of Spike Lee and Darren Aronofsky - has collected many awards and nominations at international prestigious film competitions. The picture has many interesting visual effects and combined filming. So, for example, the leading actor, British actress Olivia Coleman, had to hang in the air for 4 days during the filming.

Another significant film of the program, which will be presented to residents of the southern capital as part of the festival, will be the Serbian film “Emergency Exit”. The organizers of the film forum note that this film in its unique national color is very close to the aesthetics of Russian cinema.

The Kinematic Shorts program also includes many other outstanding paintings, such as the black comedy "5 Ways to Die", shot in Cyprus. This film, directed by Daina Papadaki, is a socio-political allegory about the state system. The road movie festival “Dangerous Cargo” complements the romantic drama from France “Everything Passes”. “Films will appeal to lovers of the genre and those who are just starting to plunge into the world of short films,” said festival organizer Elizaveta Kolesnikova.

It is worth noting that the Kinematic Shorts short film festival has been held in Russia for the third year in a row. Twice a year - in the spring and autumn in more than 20 cities of Russia, screenings of short films brought to the festival from many countries of the world are organized. This year, the film forum will be held in Chelyabinsk from March 26 to April 1.
