In Nizhny Novgorod showed a movie for the visually impaired and hearing impaired Automatic translate
NIZHNY NOVGOROD. As part of the “Cinema for the Blind and the Deaf” charity project, the local movie theater “Orlyonok” hosted the screening of the film “Champions” adapted for viewing by people with vision and hearing problems. The event was supported by MegaFon and the Living Hearts Foundation.
About 50 people with hearing and vision problems came to the free movie screening of the adapted version of the film “Champions”. The picture was accompanied by subtitles and translation (description of the actions of the picture, objects, clothes, gestures, etc.). The organizers helped gather the audience for the show by the employees of the Nizhny Novgorod organization All-Russian Society of the Blind and All-Russian Society of the Deaf.
The Champion film tells about five real stories of the great victories of Russian athletes. The Nizhny Novgorod audience was especially interested in the film, a story dedicated to their fellow countryman - the silver medalist of the 2006 Olympic Games, four-time world champion Nikolai Kruglov Jr. Other heroes of the picture were skater Svetlana Zhurova, snowboarder Ekaterina Ilyukhina, hockey player Ilya Kovalchuk, figure skaters Anton Sikharulidze and Elena Berezhnaya.
“Why is the movie blind? Thanks to the play of the actors, the sound row and the imagination of a blind person, a picture is formed in the head. With the advent of tiflocommentation, this picture became more specific and detailed, ”Vyacheslav Tsaregorodtsev, chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod organization of the All-Russian Society of the Blind, commented on the film.
Today, the project “Cinema for the Blind” is successfully working and developing under the guidance of producer and journalist Lidia Andreeva with the support of MegaFon, Ernst & Young and individuals. More than one film with a translation has already been released, among them are the paintings “Gagarin. First in Space ”,“ Legend No. 17 ”,“ Junker ”,“ Squirrel and Arrow. Star dogs "," Seller of toys "," Metro "and others.
“Such events not only allow people with disabilities to get acquainted with the latest cinema, but also draw public attention to the problems of the visually impaired and hearing impaired. In Nizhny Novgorod, our initiative was the first, but hopefully far from the last, ”added Julia Danilova, director of public relations at MegaFon.
After the end of the show, a surprise was expected for all the spectators - as part of the project, MegaFon released a small edition of DVDs with films adapted for the hearing and sight impaired, which it presented to all gathered, and the rest was transferred to the Nizhny Novgorod branches of the All-Russian Society of the Blind and the All-Russian Society of the Deaf.
