“Children’s stories” were shown by the artists of the theater-studio “Turandot” on the stage of the Rostov youth theater Automatic translate
ROSTOV-ON-DON. The Rostov Youth Theater, continuing its project “Experimental Site”, presented the work of the Turandot Theater Studio on the Small Stage. This collective, one of the oldest theater studios in Rostov, presented to the audience the play "Non-Childish Story", staged by the playwright Maria Zelinsky. This play is one of the first works written by a talented playwright, and in the Turandot Theater the performance has been going on since 2009.
However, it can be considered a new version of the production, since the cast in it has almost completely been updated. During the life of the play this happens for the fourth time. Maria Zelinskaya told in her play about the problems of street children, identifying her genre - social drama. The story of abandoned children is played by young actors, which gives it even greater credibility. Hence the frequent change of the cast - the artists of the theater-studio are getting older.
The plot of the play is taken by the playwright from real Russian life in the nineties. Ten children live in an abandoned house, for various reasons, found themselves on the street. Hiding them makes fear get into a shelter. The oldest of these children, the girl Mana, tries to unite them in a family, but her attempt ends in failure.
At the end of the play, viewers see a video message from Mani, with the help of which she hopes to meet with guys from the world of her non-children’s history. Spectators sitting in the hall instantly notice the similarity of the main character of the play with the real Manya. There is no accident - in the new composition, the main role is played by Maria Pestereva, her daughter.
When discussing the performance, the audience recognized it as successful and socially significant. Many expressed a desire to see him again, but it is not yet known when this opportunity will appear.
