GREENGRADE. The Russian-Italian film festival of short, author and documentary films will open tomorrow, February 21, in the Zelenograd CC. The event, held with the direct support of the city administration, will last until March 1, 2015.
As part of the film festival program, viewers will be shown full-length and short films of various genres and directions of cinematographic art, from works from the heyday of Italian cinema of the 60-70s to our time. The festival kicks off with a show of the ironic comedy “Love Today,” which tells of four life stories during the economic crisis.
As part of documentary screenings, films will be presented to the audience about the life and architecture of Venice, Rome, Palermo and other cities of Italy, about well-known creative figures, about the marginal elements of Italian society, about the phenomena of interaction between Russian and Italian cultures, as well as about other important components of Italian history and culture.
The organizers of the festival prepared for fans of comedies and melodramas paintings with fascinating stories about love, adventures and curious situations occurring in classic Italian families. Fans of such serious genres as thriller and drama were also not ignored. Films about difficult life situations and psychological experiences will be shown to them.
Also on February 28, a program called “Sicily Day” will be held within the framework of the festival, which will allow you to get to know the mysterious Italian soul. On this day, visitors will find three documentaries about the sunniest island of the Mediterranean, as well as lectures on the rich culture of Sicily in general and its central part - the city of Palermo.
Only 20 films during the festival week will be shown in the cultural center "Zelenograd". Entrance to the first day of the festival is free. You can get acquainted with the film screening program on the KC poster.
