On the 10th of January in Norilsk the Polyarka, the laboratory of modern drama, began work for the third time. Five directors from different cities, four professional theater critics came to the city to participate in this project. During the work of Polyarka 2015, participants in the laboratory will prepare 5 performances, the quality of which will be appreciated by critics and spectators.

Now both scenes of the Norilsk Drama Theater are occupied by rehearsing artists, and from January 14, shows of prepared performances will begin to be shown to the public. Among the performances preparing for viewing, the public will see productions of new works by Russian and foreign authors. The repertoire of the Norilsk Drama presents mostly modern Russian drama.

The two previous laboratories noticeably refreshed the repertoire of the theater. Each season, after the work of Polyarka, two new names of performances appeared on the theater poster. From the evaluation of the performances prepared within the framework of this year’s laboratory, it depends on whether the theater artists will be able to please their fans with new performances this season.

The curator of the laboratory "Polyarka-2015" - a famous theater figure, deputy. Director of the Yekaterinburg Youth Theater Oleg Loevsky. He has vast experience in conducting a large number of theater festivals, was the head of more than sixty directorial laboratories in various theaters of the country. No less famous are the names of theatrical critics who came to the polar city - Anna Banasyukevich and Oksana Kushlyaeva.

Among the laboratory participants there is also a representative of the Norilsk Drama Theater. Timur Fayzurov is preparing a directorial sketch of the play “KhorKharona” written by the popular playwright Yaroslava Pulinovich.
