Three Russian films will take part in Berlinale 2015 Automatic translate
BERLIN. The organizers of the Berlin Film Festival continue to announce the participants in the 2015 movie screening. So, recently it became known that the program of youth cinema Generation included three Russian films: “Sky Camel” by Yuri Feting, “14+” by Andrei Zaitsev and the short film “Why a Banana Snarls” by Svetlana Razgulyaeva.
Yuri Fetin’s film “Sky Camel” with Viktor Sukhorukov in the title role tells about the journey of Bair’s boy across the Kalmyk steppe. The short film “Why a Banana Snarls” is an animated fantasy of the director Svetlana Razgulyaeva on what to do if a person woke up in the morning and his tail grew. The film “14+” by Zaitsev is about the first melodramatic youthful love that arose in one of the sleeping areas of a small Russian town. In total this year, 65 films from 35 countries of the world will take part in the youth cinema program.
The Generation program at the Berlin Film Festival has existed since 1978. It is divided into two parts: the Kplus program includes films for children under 14 years old, and films for teens are presented in 14plus. The best works of this contest are awarded with cash grants and Crystal Bears.
In addition, this year in the main competition of the Berlinale festival takes part the Russian film "Under the Electric Clouds" directed by Alexei German Jr. The festival’s reviews will begin on February 5 and will be held until February 15, 2015, after which the names of the winners of this year will be announced.
