"Theater of Equals" celebrated the first anniversary of the creation of the troupe Automatic translate

VORONEZH. The actors working in the Theater of Equals association on January 10 celebrated their first anniversary - the anniversary of their birth. In honor of this date, the artists of the unique theater, uniting people with disabilities in a single team, showed the poetic part of their debut performance, taking part in the Christmas evening.

Valeria Malamura, director of an unusual theater, noted that although the official date of birth is June 4th, for her the countdown of the existence of the team dates back to the first casting of the project “Theater of Equals”, held at the Youth House. As a result, the foundation of the troupe appeared in the amount of 13 people. A month later, after the second casting, replenishment came to them.

Having selected the troupe participants, the project organizers, having enlisted the support of the regional Department of Culture, Youth Theater and Voronezh University, invited the director and teachers. Vadim Krivosheev became the director and subsequently the head of the Theater of Equals, and Anna Grebenshchikova led the teaching staff, who trained the project participants in the basics of acting. At the same time, rehearsals of the first performance were held.

The debut of the team took place on the stage of the Youth Theater, where aspiring artists showed the lyric play "The Cat on the Roof", which was extremely warmly received by the audience. After the debut, the team officially became known as the theater, but the actors of the theater consider their first casting day to be their birthday. Last year, with its debut performance, the theater took part in the festival “Big Break”, went on tour, and the troupe was replenished with new artists.

Now the "Theater of Equals " is in full swing over a production based on three stories by the famous Voronezh A. Platonov. The premiere is scheduled for late March.
