The organizers of the film festival "2morrow / Tomorrow" shared the competitive program of the upcoming event Automatic translate

MOSCOW. On the website of the VIII International Festival of Contemporary Independent Cinema "2morrow / Tomorrow", which will be held in Moscow from January 20 to 25, information has appeared on the competition, as well as other film forum programs. The main venues for the shows this year will be the Documentary Film Center and the Museum of Moscow.

According to the organizers, the main event of the competition program will be watching the second film of the Italian director Alice Rohrvaher “Miracles”, which received the Grand Prix at Cannes. In addition to this film, the films “Listen, Philip” by Alex Ross Perry, “The Magic Girl” by Carlos Vermouth, “Next to Her” by Asaf Korman, “Sand Dolls” by Laura Amelia Guzman and Israel Cardanas, “Party Girl” by Mari Amashukeli, Claire are announced in the competition Burger and Samuel Theis, “The Court” of Caitanya Tamgani and “Hauch” by Lisandro Alonsoi.

Once again, the traditional festival section “Tomorrow” will delight the audience with paintings that expand the scope of cinema. One of the main films of the program is the chamber drama of the Spanish director Carlos Marquez-Marset “10,000 km”, only 2 actors and their computers were involved in its creation. The main role was played by the British singer and actress Natalia Tena. The film already won the prize for the best authorial duet of the SXSW festival, as well as awards in the categories "Best Film", "Best New Screenwriter", "Best Director", "Best Actress" and film critics at the festival in Malaga.

Also included in the section are the films “You Were Tender and Beautiful” by Josephine Decker, “Free Range - Ballad for the Acceptance of the World” by Veiko Junpuu, “Hide and Seek” by Joanna Coates and “The Girl Walks Alone at Night” by Ana Lily Amirpur.

In the “Offside” section (a program of Russian regional cinema), the central event will be the premiere of short films by students of Alexander Sokurov from Kabardino-Balkarian State University. In addition, the program will include screenings of the paintings “White Day” and “Runaway”, shot in Yakutia, “Polygon 27” (filmed in Khabarovsk) and “Pokhabovsk. The reverse side of Siberia ”(starring Alexander Bashirov).

In the new program “Noise of Time”, the flagship is the film from the Philippine director Love Diaz “From the Previous”. The painting is the owner of the Golden Leopard, as well as the Audience Award at the IFF in Sao Paolo, the Don Quixote Prize and the FIPRESCI Prize at the IFF in Locarno. This is a black and white 6-hour epic about the most difficult and terrible events in the history of the Philippines, about the period when the state of emergency was declared by President Ferdinand Marcos.
