New and old Russian cinema included in the program of the DocPoint festival Automatic translate
HELSINKI. On January 27, in Helsinki, the opening of one of the largest documentary film festivals, DocPoint, took place. Traditionally, the main program of the film forum this year included the latest pictures of Russian documentaries.
As part of the festival, this year’s competition will host the screenings of the films “Children 404” directed by Pavel Loparev and Askold Kurov, “The Last Limousine” by Daria Khlestkina and “Victory Day” by Alina Rudnitskaya.
Also, in the framework of the special program “The Bitter Taste of Freedom”, five more Russian documentaries will be seen. The program was compiled by the famous Finnish director and producer Rejo Nikkilae, who will be awarded the Apollo Prize this year for his contribution to the profession.
Along with the works of Reyo Nikkilae himself, the program “The Bitter Taste of Freedom” included five Russian films - “The Body of Lenin” by Vitaly Mansky, “The Power of Solovetskaya” by Marina Goldovskaya, “The Russians Left” by Alexander Gutman, “DMB-91” by Alexei Hanyutin and “Belova” Victor Kosakovsky. The program also included a film by Marina Goldovskaya with the same name, “The Bitter Taste of Freedom,” co-produced by the United States and Sweden.
The fourteenth documentary festival in Helsinki DocPoint will end on February 1.
