At the St. Petersburg Theater "Saturday" was the premiere of the play "Not Listed" Automatic translate
ST. PETERSBURG. On December 20-21, the “Saturday” Theater presented the public with a premiere performance based on the novel by Boris Vasiliev. Written in the 70s, he talked about one of the ordinary soldiers who participated in the defense of the Brest Fortress. The creators of the play did not come up with a name for their new work, it remained as it was called by the classic of Soviet prose - “It was not listed.”
The artists timed the creation of the play to the 70th anniversary of the Victory, thereby recalling many of the war heroes who remained unknown. However, this statement is not only a tribute to the departed fighters - it is a story about the fact that you can remain human in those inhuman conditions.
The staging of the novel was written by Daria Stepanova, an actress of the Baltic House, and the director was Denis Shibaev, known for his work in the experimental ON Theater. For the role of the protagonist - Lieutenant Pluzhnikov, they invited the artist Andrei Panin, who took part in the performances of Denis Shibaev. The plot of the tragedy described in Vasiliev’s novel is familiar to many viewers.
The first day of the service of young lieutenant Pluzhnikov coincided with the outbreak of war. Arriving at the Brest Fortress in the late evening of June 21, he fell under the first blows of the attacking fascists, without even having time to report on his arrival.
Denis Shibaev approached the material of the novel as a psychological drama. The reason for this approach to staging the performance is not only in the chamberness of the scene. The director believes that to create a play about the war there is no need to release heroes with machine guns to the stage and stun the audience with a phonogram of explosions. On the stage is the basement, where Pluzhnikov, who is awaiting execution, speaks with the ghosts of those who were close to him and loved in life.
In the role of Mirra, beloved girl of Pluzhnikov, the actress of the Saturday theater Lyubov Gradovskikh.
