ST. PETERSBURG. Under the modest name of "ArtOkraina", the festival of chamber theaters, which has the status of an international theater forum, was opened for the fifth time in St. Petersburg. The playbill of the festival program includes performances of ten theaters representing Russia, Serbia and Israel, which takes place on the stage of the theater "Behind the Black River", which acted as the organizer of a theater festival.

It is worth noting that on the eve of the opening of the festival, staged by Igor Stavissky (art director of ArtOkrainy), the performance The Tempest was awarded the Golden Spotlights Award. The opening of the festival took place on November 10th, and after the ceremony, the audience saw the first performance of the festival program. The dramatic solo performance, “Everything, Finally!” Was presented by Israeli artists of the Two Homes Partnership.

The following evening, the youngest participants in the theater forum, the Team Association, created this year, presented their work on the stage of the hosts of the festival. This Petersburg theater troupe consists of graduates from the course of Ekaterina Maximova. Young artists presented the performance with a parable called “Syphysis and a stone”.

This year, the creators of the festival invited the audience to turn over the pages of a kind of theater encyclopedia, presenting various theatrical genres, making it possible to get acquainted with a different style of play, as well as a diverse approach to dramatic material.

There are no uninteresting theaters among the participants of ArtOkraina, however, spectators familiar with the work of the Moscow Theater in the South-West are looking forward to seeing the performance “Moscow - Petushki” as legendary as the theater itself on November 17th.
