The program of the German Film Festival was organized by the Goethe Institute in Novosibirsk. Among the films announced for screenings are finalists and participants in various international film festivals. During the festival, a film review contest will be held among the audience. According to Elena Nosova, Goethe Institute PR manager, the main selection criteria will be literacy, literary style and originality of the material. The winner will have the opportunity to take a German course at the Goethe Center.

At the festival, viewers will be presented with a number of interesting German films - this is the chamber drama “Cannibal Time”, and the new film about Afghanistan “Between the Worlds” with Ronald Zerfeld in the title role, as well as the drama “The Way of the Cross”, which became the winner of the Berlin Film Festival. The highlight of the movie screenings will be the picture "Simple difficulties of Nico Fischer", conveying the atmosphere of Berlin.

In addition to feature films, during the festival week they will also show the documentary film "Shards Park" - a drama about a young schoolgirl-immigrant from Russia. Also, viewers will have the opportunity to evaluate the program of the best short films “Next Generation Short Tiger 2014” from the representative of GermanFilms in Eastern Europe, producer Simone Baumann. On top of that, a retrospective of Haruna Faroki films will be presented. Within the framework of the festival program, Kiev film critic and director Oleksiy Radinsky will conduct master classes for aspiring filmmakers.
