A full-length feature film of the Ukrainian production "The Guide" will be shown for the first time accompanied by tifloperevod - a special sound commentary intended for blind people. Apart from the rental version of "Guide", which will appear on the screens on November 12, in six cities of Ukraine there will be special screenings of the film with tifloperevodom.
The film tells about a blind kobzar, a veteran of the UPR army, who, by coincidence, helps an orphaned teenager to avoid meeting with enkavedists and save documents revealing the authorities in crimes against his people. The film is also historical in nature - it touches on the theme of the shooting of kobzars during the Stalinist repressions. One of the main characters of the Guide, the blind kobzar, was played by Stanislav Boklan, and also really blind actors starred in the film.
The show at the box office of the film with tifloperevodim for Ukraine is a unique event in the field of cinema. The creation of a special sound commentary for the film "Guide" was funded by Oschadbank. The screening of the film with translation for the blind in Odessa, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kiev and Lviv starts on November 12.
The film "Guide" is a full-fledged second film directed by Oles Sanin. The premiere of the picture took place in the summer at the Odessa Film Festival. In early autumn, the Oscar Committee in Ukraine selected the "Guide" as a candidate for the Academy Award.
