Participants of the festival "Habitat" are ready to show their work to the audience Automatic translate
OMSK. The actors gathered in Omsk who arrived at the Habitat theater festival are holding their last rehearsals. This weekend they will show the audience the performances created in less than a week. The main feature of this project is that the performances created in a short time were given life by young actors and directors who came to Omsk from different cities of the country.
Most of them met only on the project. With the help of the festival coordinator, Anastasia Startseva, the actors were divided into four groups. The composition of each group was selected by the coordinator, based on the requests of the directors, each of which required certain actor types.
There was no such festival in Omsk yet. All performances prepared by acting teams and directors who decided to participate in an experimental festival will be shown to viewers in the urban landscape. On Saturday, August 9th, the artists will open the festival with the “Swan Song” sketch, staged based on Chekhov’s motives. The stage will be located near the Lyceum Park, where spectators are expected at 18 - 00.
Two hours later, on the promenade located in the area of the Babylon cinema, the festival organizer Anastasia Startseva will show her directorial work. The actors will show the sketch “On Saturdays,” based on the work of Dina Rubina.
Next evening, spectators will be waiting in the Omsk fortress, where at 18:00 the team of the St. Petersburg director Daria Stepanova will show a sketch created by the works of Franz Kafka. In this work, the motives of two works at the same time were used - “In the correctional colony” and two chapters from the “Process”.
The festival will end with the famous play “What happened at the zoo”. It will be shown in the Resurrection Square. Everyone can see the unique theater project.
