For the festival "Masquerade" in the theater of Penza restore the play "Vadim" Automatic translate
PENZA. The Penza Drama Theater is preparing for the Masquerade Theater Festival, which is scheduled to begin on October 1st. During the festival, its participants will show performances, the basis for which were the works of Lermontov. Penza artists for the festival restore the play "Vadim", staged from an unfinished novel written by Lermontov in his youth.
Its premiere took place at the Penza Theater about ten years ago. Some actors who participated in the first version of the play will again appear on the stage of the theater in an updated production. Only their roles will now be different. However, actress Julia Kuzmina, as before, will play Olga. In the role of Vadim, the audience will also see a new performer - Alexander Steshin.
Director Denis Khusniyarov, who arrived in Penza from St. Petersburg, is working on the restoration of the play. In his creative baggage there is already a performance by Lermontov - “Hero of our time”, staged in Omsk. For a better perception of the era described by the poet, the director decided to conduct one of the rehearsals in "Tarkhany" - the estate where Lermontov lived in childhood.
On Sunday, August 17th, the theater artists engaged in the play “Vadim” arrived for one day at the “Tarkhany” estate. Denis Khusniyarov rehearsed several scenes of the performance in the hall of one of the buildings of the estate, where the museum’s administration now works. This place is filled with special energy, which was noted by all participants of the trip.
After the rehearsal, the artists became participants in the tour, specially for them conducted by the museum staff. The participants of the play regretted that due to the difficulties of the technical plan it was not possible to show Vadim in the estate.
Penza public will not wait for the performance for long - the premiere is scheduled for September 22nd.
