MOSCOW. On Saturday, July 12, the number of residents of the capital who visited Stoleshnikov Lane turned out to be significantly larger than usual. The old Moscow street hosted the Open Streets festival. It takes place as part of a large-scale project, the name of which became the lines of the famous song about Moscow - "The Best City of the Earth."
The Open Streets festival will take place throughout the summer months, gathering spectators on weekends in the space of the capital’s pedestrian zones. This event combines various forms of street art - music and dancing, street theater and street art. Festival venues will also be hosted by the scenic venues of numerous metropolitan parks located in various districts of the capital.
Events that attracted the attention of guests of Stoleshnikov Lane continued throughout the evening. From 17. 00 the audience saw performances by artists of various genres, most of whom chose the themes of foreign classics presented in the format of street art.
Among the festival participants who presented their work in Stoleshnikov Lane, there were guests from St. Petersburg - the OddDance Theater. The actors showed a performance dedicated to the creator of the amazing work “Alice in Wonderland” - Lewis Carroll. This famous mathematician and storyteller became the hero of the production of “Man by Name”.
The Teatrika Laboratory also created a performance dedicated to several authors - Thomas Mann, Lope de Vega and Goethe. Young artists presented their work - participants in the children’s Media Laboratory in the play "Country of Jambles" read absurd poems by Edward Lear.
The musical part sounded the classic French chanson performed by Douce Ambiance De Moscou, as well as original versions of songs from the participants of the LETO project
