VSEVOLOZHSK. Gathering theater groups for festivals is not a privilege of big cities. The small town of Vsevolozhsk has invited regional and St. Petersburg theaters for the eighth time to participate in the Vsevolozhskaya Spring Theater Forum.
Over the years since the opening of the first festival, this theater forum, traditionally held in the spring months, has turned into the most anticipated event of urban cultural life. Thanks to Vsevolozhsk Spring, theater lovers got the opportunity to get acquainted with the most interesting of the works created by theater actors in the cities of the region.
The main part of the performances included in the festival programs will be shown at the Vsevolozhsk Culture Center, whose building is located on Koltushskoye Shosse. However, St. Petersburg festival participants will invite spectators to their theaters for some performances.
The theater-goers of Vsevolozhsk managed to see the first performance of the festival on the opening day of Vsevolozhsk Spring. The theatrical project from St. Petersburg “All Year” on April 5 presented the premiere of the original stage version of “Tales of Tsar Saltan”. The production was to all spectators who were lucky enough to see it.
On the same stage, on April 6, spectators will meet with the Holy Fortress Theater, who arrived from Vyborg with the performance “Look in My Window”. In total, nine performances will be presented as part of the festival program, including five premieres.
For the first time, the April Studio Theater, working in the city of Lodeynoye Pole, will show its work. The St. Petersburg theaters “On Vasilyevsky” and “On Liteiny”, “Comedians” became participants in the festival.
The Vsevolozhskaya Spring will close on April 19 with a funny performance by the KVAM team representing St. Petersburg.
