The Blue Bird League festival will determine the best children’s performances in the capital Automatic translate
MOSCOW. The theater festival “BLUE BIRD LEAGUE” begins in the capital on April 5th, combining in its program the best performances intended for a children’s audience. The festival of children’s performances is being held for the second time, organized at the initiative of director Boris Belenky, the creator of the prestigious Crystal Turandot Prize.
According to the director, the viewer should join the theatrical art from childhood. It is very important that now in the repertoire of academic theaters there are children’s performances of the highest quality staged by talented directors. Young viewers who come to watch fairy tales gradually become trained viewers who are able to evaluate performances in the future, claiming the Crystal Turandot Prize, which celebrated its 23rd anniversary.
The creation of a festival of children’s performances aims not only to show performances created by theaters for children, but also to award the best of them. The festival award should be another incentive that encourages theaters not to forget about young spectators in their work. Since the performances participating in the festival program are divided into two age categories, awards are provided for each of them.
In total, the festival “BLUE BIRD LEAGUE” is attended by 11 children’s performances. In order for the performance to become a participant in the festival program, one of the conditions was required - it must be either a big premiere or the most popular production of the current season.
Performances after viewing will be evaluated by the audience themselves right in the lobby of the theater. Voting will also take place on the website of the Central Store for Children, previously known as the Children’s World. A festival page was created there.
