Yuri Kiselyov led the Youth Theater for over fifty years, while working as a teacher at the Saratov Theater School. After Kiselev passed away, the theater was named after the Stage Master.

This season, the Saratov Youth Theater celebrates two anniversaries - the oldest children’s theater is 95 years old, and one hundred years have passed since the birth of Yuri Kiselev. As part of the celebration of the director’s jubilee, the Moscow Art Theater named after Chekhov. The director of the play, Sergey Puskepalis, also studied at the Saratov School, on the course of Yuri Kiselev.

Before the start of the first performance in the theater, a press conference was held, where not only the director Sergei Puskepalis, but also the actors of the Moscow Art Theater named after him answered questions from the press. Puskepalis voiced a desire to stage a performance in Saratov, but journalists did not hear anything about the details of future work. The plot of the play, shown by the actors of the Moscow Art Theater, is known, however, thanks to the excellent play of the actors, there were no indifferent spectators in the hall.
