MOSCOW. On February 20, the capital’s cinema house hosted a large gala evening dedicated to the anniversary of the Guild of Russian Film Actors. Previously, this community of film actors was called the Guild of Actors of Soviet Cinema, and was created on the initiative of famous actors - Evgeny Zharikov, Evgeny Gerasimov, Boris Tokarev and many other film actors in December 1988.

However, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Guild, they decided to choose this date. Guild Director General Valeria Gushchina told media representatives that the organization brought together about two thousand actors working both in the cinema and in the theater. More than 40% of the Guild consists of young actors. The guild should be a real family for artists, so the organization is engaged in providing various types of assistance to all actors who need it.

The main event of the anniversary was the presentation of the award, called the "Good Heart". This evening she was awarded for the first time. The host of the evening was the artist Evgeny Gerasimov, who told before the invitation to the stage Lyudmila Chursina and Boris Tokarev (they handed the prizes to the laureates) that the new award is not an ordinary award, but an expression of gratitude to colleagues who support people in difficult times.

The first laureates were the creators of a fund designed to help older artists. Igor Vernik and Evgeny Mironov, Natalia Shaginyan-Nidemi Maria Mironova took the stage for the awards.
