Premiere of the play "Four Pictures of Love" in the updated Pskov drama Automatic translate
PSKOV. The play “Four Pictures of Love”, staged by the young director Victoria Lugova based on the play of the Swiss playwright L. Berfus, opened after reconstruction after the Pskov Drama Theater named after Pushkin. The work of Berfus is put on the Russian stage for the first time.
The production was carried out thanks to the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the St. Petersburg Goethe Institute. Rehearsals of the performance lasted about six months. Not only actors and theater staff took part in the production of the production, but video specialists working for the Pskov Internet television company. They prepared video installations, which, according to the director, became part of the scenery.
Rehearsals took place in difficult conditions, since the theater was still closed, it was impossible to work on its own stage. For the director of the play, Victoria Lugovoi, this is not the first directorial work, however, while she has not had to work too often to work with professional actors.
The everyday story described by the playwright, staged on the Russian stage, has found many metaphors. Each of the characters of the play endures love tests in its own way. They have only one thing in common - none of them succeeds in sustaining it.
The official opening of the theater has not yet taken place, although the technical acceptance of the theater premises took place in December last year. Now the theater complex consists of two buildings. The official opening ceremony of the renovated theater complex will unite with the opening of the Pushkin Theater Festival, which will be held on February 5th.
The first performance of the festival will be the premiere work of the actors of the Pskov drama - the play “Count Nulin”. During the theater season that has opened, Pskov theater-goers will see five premiere performances.
