In the theater "At the Nikitsky Gate" the story of a rural businessman - "Strausian" Automatic translate
MOSCOW. Mark Rozovsky, artistic director of one of the most popular spectators of the theater at the Nikitsky Gate, presented the new work of actor and director Yuri Golubtsov - the comedy Strausian. Yuri Golubtsov has been working in the theater since the foundation of the troupe since 1983, but for the first time he acts as a director.
According to Mark Rozovsky, who is a co-author of the play, written based on the story of Marianna Goncharova “Ostrich Vitya Gavrilyuk”, in the context of events taking place now in Ukraine, the play turned out to be surprisingly topical, but incredibly funny at the same time.
The story of an unlucky village businessman from the village of Vishenka, who decided to take up the original business - breeding African ostriches, today involuntarily causes the audience to associate with the desire of Ukraine to join the European Union as soon as possible.
The appearance of this performance in the repertoire of the theater can be considered an accident. If Mark Rozovsky didn’t fall into the hands of the comedy magazine “Fountain”, published in Odessa, with a story printed in it, then the audience would not be able to see this wonderful performance performed by the talented actors of the theater “At the Nikitsky Gate”.
Rozovsky identified the genre of his new work - "folk comedy." Indeed, there are a lot of funny moments in the play - dialogues filled with witty jokes, original directorial discoveries, causing explosions of infectious laughter in the audience, even almost real ostriches performed by Yana Pryzhankova and Stanislav Fedorchuk, dancing a gypsy with an exit.
The charming protagonist Pavlo, masterfully performed by the director of the play Yuri Golubtsov, was clearly sympathetic to the viewer. All the participants deserved the thunderous applause that accompanied the final of the performance.
