The story, set by director Alexander Bargman, immerses viewers in the world of gloomy Bulgakov time. On the stage, Don Quixote, sucking not like the hero of a Spanish novel, in his studio, as close as his life surrounding him.

This Don Quixote is a lonely, forgotten man, not claimed by life. Trying to deal with human vices, a naive knight becomes more and more like a mentally ill person, in which there is not the slightest resemblance to Don Quixote, whom he knows from an old novel.

For the actor Sergei Migitsko, the performer of the role of Don Quixote, this performance was practically his benefit. This role became his dream come true, and participation in the play, one of the artist’s favorite writers, brought a lot of pleasure.

There was no happy ending in the play, because the story of a knight is the story of his departure.
