NOVOKUZNETSK. Starting from November 6th, the staff of the Novokuznetsk Drama Theater, together with the city’s theatergoers, celebrates its anniversary - the theater founded in 1933 turned eighty years old. Solemn events will last almost a week.

Theater anniversaries opened the anniversary celebrations with the premiere of the play “Talents and Fans” staged by the young director Maxim Kalsin based on the play by A. Ostrovsky. With this comedy, the work of the Novokuznetsk Drama Theater began in the year of its foundation.

To celebrate the anniversary in the theater, they decided to return this performance to their repertoire, only now the audience saw it in a new, more modern reading, using the new features of the stage equipment.

Original scenery for the production was created by production designer Alexei Votyakov. In order for more spectators to join the celebration of the anniversary, the premiere performance was repeated on November 7th.

The anniversary gala evening, at which theater artists will receive congratulations from the city administration, its various organizations and colleagues who have come to Novokuznetsk from the best Siberian theaters, will be held on November 8th. Loyal theater fans who do not miss any of their new work will come to congratulate the actors on the holiday.

On the same day, everyone who will be near the theater around eight in the evening will be surprised - a bright three-dimensional video sequence will be shown on the theater facade telling about the main events of the theater.

On the evening of November 9, the theater will host another anniversary event. Theatricals are waiting for the first time “Night at the Theater”, during which they will get acquainted with various genres of theatrical art, find out the secrets behind the scenes of the theater.
