Puppet Theater Festival in the capital opened a performance based on the story of Gogol Automatic translate

MOSCOW. On the stage of the theater. S. Obraztsova, the play “Someone Nose” on Sunday opened the International Festival of Puppet Theaters, held in Moscow for the seventh time. This year, actors from Bulgaria and Hungary, Poland and Germany, Lithuania and Russia brought their works to the festival.

Even before the start of the first performance of puppet art lovers, the mechanical entertainer conquered them in the theater lobby. It instantly attracts attention with its sociability not only children, but also adult viewers. To date, the puppet theater has changed markedly. It is clear that puppets and cane dolls are still participating in the performances, however, the characters in the productions “come to life” more and more, learn to talk independently. Each doll has a unique character, somewhat similar to its owner.

The performance, which became the first gift to the audience, is a joint project of the Obraztsov Theater and the company MO De Ted from France. Support was provided by the French Institute in Russia. The staging of the play “Some Nose” was carried out by Eric de Sarria, who already had experience working with Russian actors in the Samara Theater.

Obraztsova, he was comfortable, although there are noticeable differences from the Genti Theater, of which he has been a member of the troupe since 1988. His task was not to move along the beaten path, but to discover new opportunities for actors. “Someone Nose” is not an ordinary staging of a Gogolian text, it is a kind of variation on the theme of the story. In order to give the performance dynamics, text reductions were made.

Preparation for the premiere lasted several months. The work of the actors, as well as costumes, set design and a huge Nose - the main character, were appreciated by the audience - a long standing ovation.
