In the afternoon, the traditional gathering of theater actors took place, at which Mark Zakharov announced which two premieres the audience will see in the new season. One of them will be the work of the director from St. Petersburg Andrei Prikotenko - a work by Georges Amadou in his own stage version. A funny and touching story about the two husbands of Donna Flor will appear in the theater’s repertoire.

The second premiere performance will be staged by Konstantin Bogomolov, but what the director will work on has not been decided yet. Unfortunately, the premieres on the Small Stage of the theater, led by Alexander Zbruyev, have been postponed. Actors are working on performances, but the acoustic refinement in the hall has not yet been completed.

After traditional congratulations on the start of the season, well-deserved awards were presented for the best works of the last theater year. Award for Best Actress (performance "Five Evenings") was awarded to Olesya Zheleznyak, and among men noted Alexander Baluyev ("Heavenly Wanderers"). The representative of the Department of Culture, Evgenia Shermeneva, presented the city prize for the performances “Peer Gynt” and “The Cherry Orchard” to Alexei Kondratyev, the chief artist of the theater.

Interesting and pleasant news was the return to the theater of actor Leonid Kanevsky. Since Gennady Khazanov leaves the play “City of Millionaires,” Leonid Kanevsky will replace him, having begun rehearsing the role of Soriano. This will be a worthy partner for Inna Churikova, who plays the role of Filumena in this performance.
