At a meeting at the National Theater of Karelia, they talked about a trip to Vologda Automatic translate
PETROZAVODSK. A new season in the Karelian National Theater will open only in early October, but a press conference dedicated to this event has already taken place. Naturally, the bulk of the questions raised by the media representatives concerned the troupe’s plans for the upcoming theatrical year, but no less were asked about the theater’s tour in Vologda in mid-September.
Andrei Dezhonov, the theater’s chief director, and the actors attending the press conference eagerly answered journalists’ questions. A trip to Vologda unexpectedly turned out to be a real holiday for the theater team - local theater-goers so warmly received the performances.
For Vologda spectators, actors from Petrozavodsk brought four performances, one of which is “The Scarlet Flower”, intended for the younger generation of spectators. The performance “Khodari”, a fairy tale intended for adults, was remarkably received by the public. This production made it possible for Vologda residents to get acquainted with the life and customs of the Karelians.
At the play “Doctor involuntarily” there were not enough seats in the hall for everyone. Spectators who did not take care of the tickets in advance, but miraculously got into the hall, used extra steps as extra seats. This was the first trip of the national theater to Vologda, and in November Petrozavodsk actors will host the Vologda collective on their stage.
In addition to actors from Vologda, the arrival of the Youth Theater troupe from Yekaterinburg and guests from Norway, the Samovar Theater, are expected. The team of the National Theater will also be touring in Norway, as well as several trips to Russian cities.
Premiere performances are also being prepared for showing in the new season, the main of which will be Twelfth Night, read by the main director Andrei Dezhonov.
