MOSCOW. The Taganka Theater on June 15 presented the audience the long-awaited premiere performance “Gedda Gabler”, staged by Roman Viktyuk’s student, directed by Gulnara Galavinskaya. Her directorial work is already well known to the theater public - her two performances staged on the basis of the plays of the classical repertoire are being held at the Moon Theater.

It is worth noting that the play "Dorian Gray" in the theater of the moon is not quite an ordinary production of a famous novel. In it, Galavinsky combined two works of Wilde at once, creating an original author’s version of the play. Another difficult work of the director Gulnara Galavinskaya is presented on the stage of The Other Theater - The Glass Menagerie is already in its third season in the theater.

In the director’s luggage there were staged diploma performances with students of GITIS, the management of a theater studio, where interesting productions also appeared. No wonder Valery Zolotukhin, having visited the Moon Theater at the performance "Orpheus and Eurydice", invited Galavinsky to work with the actors of the theater he was heading at that time. At the same time, he provided the director with the right to choose the material for the production.

The result was the appearance on the Taganka stage of a modern directorial version of the play “Gedda Gabler”, a drama written by the famous playwright Heinrich Ibsen. In this play, the playwright talks about the topic that was touched on in many of his works - the woman’s attempt to find her place in society, which leads to hopelessness.

In the version of Gulnara of Galavinsky, the play became a philosophical drama, in the final part turning into a tragedy. The role of the main character is played by one of the most interesting actresses in the theater - Irina Lindt. According to the actress, the character of the heroine has traits that coincide with her own character, and the performance is so emotional that you should live in it, and not play.
