In Petrozavodsk, the premiere of the play "And the Dawns Here Are Quiet ..." Automatic translate
PETROZAVODSK. On May 27, the National Theater of Karelia presented the audience with a premiere performance based on the famous novel written many years ago by Boris Vasiliev “And the dawns here are quiet…”.
The performance is occupied by actors who are just beginning their journey on stage - students of the Conservatory. A.K. Glazunov, students in the third year in the specialty "Acting".
The story, telling about the fate of five girls anti-aircraft gunners, is familiar to many. Even those who did not read the book must have seen the famous film directed by Stanislav Rostotsky. While working on the play, the chief director of the National Theater did not set out to compete with the famous film. It was important for him to once again recall that in the war there were not only large-scale battles and courageous heroes, that the participation of women in hostilities did not match their feminine principle.
For young actors, this performance was an opportunity to understand for themselves and show the audience how unnatural the events described by Boris Vasiliev are. After all, everything that was told by the writer took place in reality. This performance is especially important in that its duty to the homeland of the same age as actors who embodied their images on the stage was performed in places located very close on the Karelian Isthmus. Five girls, with completely different characters, with their simple stories, who have not yet had time to get even minimal military experience, are forced to confront seriously trained German saboteurs.
The final of the play is known, but following the events on the stage, the audience still hopes for a miracle, because the death of beautiful girls in the war is unnatural. This is a terrible price to win.
The performance is addressed to young spectators, for whom World War II became a distant story.
