MOSCOW. In the capital, the international festival “Your chance” has ended. For 15 days, its participants showed their student and postgraduate works. During this time, twenty performances were staged by students of the best theater universities from Russia and several European countries.

For the first time such a festival took place in 2005 in Moscow. Gradually, the project from the city turned into a theatrical forum at the federal level, and then grew beyond this framework, turning into a festival of international level.

This year’s festival program included not only a competitive display of performances. Its content was surprisingly varied - during its work, shows of open rehearsals were held, it was possible to see the performances of musical groups. For lovers of literature there was an opportunity to attend presentations of new books on the theater.

During the festival, its participants had the opportunity to improve their theater skills, as master classes were held, and young critics could take part in the review contest. In addition, production agencies took part in the project, where young actors could take a closer look at the offered vacancies.

In the shopping center "On Strastnoy", where the festival was held, immediately after the performance, shown by actors from Munich, the winners were solemnly awarded. The main prize of the festival, and with it the opportunity for a whole theater season to show their work on the stage of the theater center, were received by students from St. Petersburg, students of Leo Ehrenburg. They brought the most difficult performance to the festival - Crime and Punishment.

The next "Chance" festival will be anniversary - its participants will gather for the tenth time in May 2014.
