Over the years of its life, the Kazan Drama Theater has come to Sochi with large-scale tours for the third time. A visit to Sochi was the first stop on a large tour trip, which took place thanks to repairs carried out in the walls of his home. 50 theater artists and the entire theater administration went on a trip to Russian cities. They are accompanied by 25 tons of scenery.

The first performance, which opened the theater’s tour in Sochi on April 10, was The Queen of Spades - a theater fantasy staged by the theater’s director, Alexander Slavutsky. The audience of “The Queen of Spades” was enthusiastic, and after the end of the performance, the actors were handed a basket of flowers from the mayor of Sochi, Anatoly Pakhomov.

In his conversation with media representatives, Alexander Slavutsky noted that the choice of performances for the tour was not easy. It is much easier to bring a box office comedy to another city, where a minimum number of actors are employed and there is no need for complex scenery.

It is possible that this is correct from a commercial point of view. But with this approach, the theater public in other cities can never get to know the true face of the theater. The Kazan Theater brought wonderful drama to Sochi. The Queen of Spades, presented at the opening of the tour, has repeatedly participated in theater festivals, where the jury has always been honorably honored.

In total, the Sochi theater audience will see 23 performances of the Kazan theater, and creative meetings with actors will take place.
