Only two months passed from the beginning of rehearsals to the premiere. Director Georges Lavodan worked on the play as it is customary to do on the western stage - quickly, but without losing the quality of the future production. It should be noted that Georges Lavodan has extensive experience in theaters, which brought him fame in his homeland.

He is well acquainted with the profession of actor, director and playwright. He was also involved in administrative work, working as the director of the famous French stage venue - Odeon Theater of Europe. Lavodan also worked in Russian theaters. The Maly Theater got the opportunity to invite a famous French director for the production of Cyrano de Bergerac thanks to his recent entry into the Union of European Theaters.
