For the first time in the history of the contest, he was awarded the prize of the Fund of Jesus Serra (Fundación Jesús Serra). In the next two years, Connova is expected to perform with leading Spanish orchestras in Seville, Bilbao, Tenerife, Madrid.
A native of Tashkent, Konnov turned 7 in Moscow at the age of 7. He entered the Gnesinka, after its completion - at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Further, the trajectory of fate brought him to Robert Schumann College (Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf). The last 5 years he has lived in Augsburg, where he studied at the Leopold Mozart Center. The potential of a gifted pianist was obvious from the start. Since 2015 - invariably first places in various international competitions: in Augsburg, Milan, Morocco, Malta. In November 2017, Konnov won the Concurso Internacional de Piano, also in Spain.
Third place is also held by the Russian pianist. Alexey Sychev is a graduate of three conservatories at once: the Moscow Tchaikovsky, the Salzburg Mozarteum and the Vienna Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. From 2012 to 2015, he won 7 victories at various international competitions, 23 received the title of laureate.
