The project “Philharmonic Academy”, proposed by the Nizhny Tagil Philharmonic, is an attempt to acquaint in an exciting form the wonderful world of classical music. The first “lesson” of the Academy, on October 15, was dedicated to the Ed Grieg Suite “Peer Gynt”, written once for a theatrical production at the request of Henrik Ibsen. From an applied musical illustration to the story of the long-term wanderings of the village guy Peer Gynt and the devotion of his eternal lover Solveig, it grew into a beloved by the public, often performed, independent work. Two suites for a symphony orchestra. The need for such projects is very high, because there is hope that the situation with music education should change over time. The program of the first season is designed for four evenings and will be devoted to the popular works of Grieg, Haydn, Mozart.
