Guy Mettan’s book West-Russia: The Millennium War was presented at TASS Automatic translate
On May 26, TASS Press Center hosted the presentation of Guy Mettan’s book “West-Russia: The Millennium War,” which was recently published in Russian. The preface to the book was written by Vladimir Pozner. The book was published by Paulsen Publishing House.
The author himself, a Swiss journalist and public figure Guy Mettan, general director of Paulsen Publishing House Raisa Neyaglova-Kolosova and professor, D. Yu., Took part in the press conference. n Alexei Kozhemyakov, who wrote the afterword to the book.
The main questions of the journalists gathered at the event were: why the West does not like Russia? What should Russia do to make a difference? Why do Western politicians and journalists pursue a policy of double standards, contrary to the rules set by them? What were the reasons and reasons for writing this author’s study? Will the book continue?
Guy Mettan, answering journalists’ questions, said: “The West has always been and will need an“ enemy at the gates ”. Russophobia is good in order to skillfully manipulate public opinion in order to achieve its own state, economic and geopolitical goals. Sometimes they are not even directly related to Russia. And such behavior has been going on for several millennia, starting from the fall of Byzantium and the transfer of the center of Orthodoxy to Russian soil. My goal was to show examples of bias in Western judgments about Russia and to encourage fellow writers in different countries to observe journalistic norms and objectivity in evaluating events in Russia. ”
Professor Alexei Kozhemyakov supported the words of Guy Methane, in particular, recalling one French proverb. He explained: “Speaking of a distorted interpretation by the Western media of Russian reality, I want to recall the following French dictum that the angle is not what it is described, but what it really is.”
On the pages of his book, Guy Mettan gives many examples of the systematic use by Western politicians and journalists of a system of double standards that expose Russia in a negative light to the world community. The author’s analysis of historical falsifications, as well as the reasons for the systematic outbreaks of Russophobia and “dislike” for Russia in Europe and the USA, caused a surge of reader interest in France and Italy, where the book was successfully published in thousands of copies. Today we see the Russian edition. The next countries in line for publication are China and Serbia.
Raisa Neyaglova –Kolosova told the audience that Guy Mettan’s book “West-Russia: The Millennium War” will be presented at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum in June this year.
Already, Russian readers can buy a book in all major online bookstores in Moscow and the regions, as well as through online book portals.
At the end of the press conference, Guy Mettan emphasized that he was not going to earn money from publishing the book as a Russian citizen, having raised a Russian girl in his family from an orphanage, he would give all his fees to Russian charity organizations.
