Memories of a failed genius. The tragic take-off of Boris Red Automatic translate
MOSCOW. The library of Nekrasov hosted the presentation of the book of the writer and literary critic Ilya Falikov about Boris Ryzhy.
The next issue of the ZHZL series - The Life of Wonderful People - is dedicated to the poet, whose tragic departure left a feeling of an unfulfilled genius. Ilya Falikov saw in verse unknown to him at that time the Yekaterinburg author signs of real, great poetry.
Twenty-six years of life contained a lot: studying at the Mining Institute, where he went in the footsteps of his father (doctor of sciences, professor Boris Petrovich Ryzhy), graduate school, about 20 works on seismology. At the same time, and for the soul paramount, is the desire to write poetry, to open oneself in this hypostasis. The geophysicist collaborated with literary newspapers and magazines in his city, sent a selection of his poetry to the Znamya magazine, where Falikov met her.
In 1999, Red was awarded the Antibooker Literary Prize. The recognition of his poetic gift went on increasing. Publications, translations into other languages, an invitation to the Netherlands, the title of the most talented poet of his generation, granted by Eugene Rein. 1300 verses written over 9 years.
Through the screen of the outskirts of jargon and lucrative intonations, a powerful poetic endowment, a bright and sensitive soul, clearly appeared. Tragic numerology measured him 26 years, like Lermontov. The true causes of voluntary death are still unknown.
Don’t look at me guilty
I’m going to get sick and fall asleep -
half-rotten hedge of hell
I’ll jump over like a boy.
Falikov’s book is like a desperate desire to reconcile with whose fate he was involved, to discover it more with the help of the memoirs of friends and relatives, to present the miracle of his poems. At a literary evening in the library of Nekrasov, the author’s recollections of a book about the Ural nugget, verses by Boris Ryzhiy, including those put to music, sounded.
