MOSCOW. An exhibition of rare encrypts from personal collections in the Pushkin Museum.

The exhibition, held in the halls of the Pushkin State Museum, will allow lovers of literature and painting to get acquainted with unique documents. Manuscripts, autographs and dedicatory inscriptions (inscripts) of famous writers, artists, statesmen from private collections of bibliophiles can be seen before the end of January of the coming year.

The exposition covers a significant time period: two past centuries. A kind of excursion into the history of Russian history and culture, reminiscent of ups and tragedies, masterpieces and losses. Among the exhibits is a book by P. I. Melnikov autographed by Nicholas II, left in September 1917 while staying in Tobolsk exile. In the encryption hall of the XIX century - almost the entire color of Russian classical literature: from Nekrasov and Turgenev to Chekhov and Tolstoy. Fans of the Silver Age will meet with rare manuscripts and typewritten copies with copyrights belonging to Gumilyov, Akhmatova, Tsvetaeva, Yesenin, Benoit. Just 30 years ago, most of the names presented in the third hall could not even be mentioned because of their strictest ban. Many of them survived repression, persecution, and expulsion from the country: Harms, Bulgakov, Brodsky, Solzhenitsyn, Dovlatov. In addition to autographs and manuscripts, you can see drawings by famous writers, confirming the axiom of the universality of true talent.
