Alexey Varlamov presented his new book from the series "ZhZZL" dedicated to Vasily Shukshin Automatic translate

MOSCOW. At the Moscow International Book Fair, a meeting was held with the rector of the Literary Institute, writer and literary critic Alexei Varlamov. The meeting was dedicated to the release of his new book from the series “The Life of Wonderful People”. The book is dedicated to the biography of Vasily Shukshin, and its writing, according to the author, was not easy for him.

The difficulties were caused by the fact that Vasily Shukshin passed away relatively recently. Previous books by Varlamov from this series were devoted to writers of the first half of the 20th century - Andrei Platonov, Mikhail Bulgakov, Alexander Green. And Vasily Shukshin, if not for the tragic death, could still please readers and spectators with his work.

The book consists of more than 100 chapters with a volume of 3-4 pages and covers many significant events in the life of Shukshin. The work on the book, according to the author, prompted him to continue his novel about Shukshin “The Mind Wolf” and its further adaptation.
