Award of the literary prize "Rainbow" Automatic translate

MILAN. On June 25, in one of the world fashion capitals, the city of Milan, the ceremony of announcing the winners of the sixth season of the Italian-Russian literary award for young authors and translators "Rainbow" took place. In total this year, 460 works from young translators and writers from 16 regions of Russia and 27 provinces of Italy were submitted to participate in the competition. Out of such a large number of applicants, the jury presented awards to only four beginner writers.

So, in the nomination “Young Translator”, Maria Goikhman from St. Petersburg became the laureate of the prize for translating the well on his shoulders and the story of Eleonora Recalcati from Nicola Galmarini from Rome for working on an excerpt from the work of Victor Martinovich. In the nomination “Young author”, the winners were named Ambra Simeone from Monza for her book “The Tale of the Great Writer” and Dmitry Filipov from the Leningrad Region for the story “Return”.

It is worth noting that the Russian-Italian literary award for young authors and translators "Rainbow" was established in 2010 by the Verona non-profit association "Know Europe" and the Literary Institute. Gorky Boris Tarasov annually leads the Russian jury of the award, and the Italian jury is headed by the president of the publishing house Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Editore Inge Feltrinelli, who is the widow of the first publisher of Dr. Zhivago Boris Pasternak in Italy. The organizers of the award aim to strengthen Russian-Italian cultural ties, to open new names in the literary field of Russia and Italy, as well as to support and encourage the work of young writers and translators of both countries.
